Embracing Green Into Your Home

Sometimes Green is a colour that we wouldn’t initially think of as a colour for our homes.  However different colours within our home can make us feel happier and to give us that calming feeling that we all crave. Colour is often thought to have an impact on moods and emotions.  They say colours of the rooms in your home are direct reflection of your personality.

Green is a colour associated with nature and the great outdoors, giving it the refreshing and tranquil feel.

In many cultures green represents tranquility, good luck, health and jealousy.  There are over 70 shades of green so there is a wide range to choose from. For many using different shades of green in one room can really set the room off.

When you research the colour green for decor in your home, you will find that it’s a perfect addition to most bedrooms. As mentioned previously this is to the calming nature and it has been known that green can prevent nightmares but it won’t stop those spiders!

When choosing a colour for your rooms you really need to think about what that colour says to you. Knowing what colours to blend together is very important, read about about each colour and understand the psychological and physical impacts it can have on you. For example, adding orange to a room with a green theme may not work, this is due to orange being seen as an aggressive colour and blending it with a tranquil green just may not work within a setting where you want it to be calming.

For those who love that white clean look in their homes, adding a splash of green can set such a welcoming statement to your home.

Even for the traditional themed homes, green can add that classy and relaxing feel.  It is believed to relieve stress by helping people relax. It is also believed to help with fertility, making it a great choice for the bedroom.

Before choosing, have a think about what colours say about you!
